Big Joe & Sons Tattoo & Body Piercing is Westchester’s oldest tattoo parlor, family-owned and operated for more than 50 years across three generations.
We are located at 193 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains, New York. The shop is open 7 days a week from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. We do a variety of custom work as well as walk-ins. Please contact the shop for availability.

Shop History
The original shop was founded in 1969 by Big Joe Kaplan, established less than a decade after the New York City tattoo ban of 1961 and operated legally just outside city limits in Mount Vernon, NY.
Big Joe helped cultivate a tattoo community in Westchester County and shaped its laws so that tattooing could remain the legal and widespread practice that it is today.
Always at the forefront of the industry, Big Joe established a regional tattoo supply business and developed new technology for his craft, including the aluminum frame tattoo machine. His machines are still used by tattoo artists today.
